1. Site Evaluation
Your remodeling journey begins with an in-home consultation.
During our initial site visit, a BerGel Construction representative will assess your space, discuss your goals, take measurements, and document the project with photos as needed.
This appointment allows us to fully understand your vision and gather the information needed to prepare an accurate proposal tailored specifically to your home.

2. Design Consultation
Once we've evaluated your space, you'll meet with one of our experienced designers to discuss layout options, finishes, fixtures, and design possibilities.
We believe great design takes collaboration, so we'll guide you through each decision while making sure your style, needs, and budget are reflected in the final plan.
During this meeting we'll cover:

3. Proposal
After understanding your project goals and design preferences, we'll prepare a detailed proposal outlining the anticipated scope of work and estimated construction costs.
Our proposals are built from more than 20 years of remodeling experience throughout Humboldt County and are designed to give you a realistic understanding of your investment.

4. Acceptance
Once you're ready to move forward, we'll finalize the paperwork and reserve your place on our construction calendar.
To begin, we'll need:

Signed Design Agreement and/or Prime Construction Contract

$1,000 project retainer
Once received, we'll officially begin the design and planning process.
5. Design Documents
Your designer will develop layout concepts and work closely with you to refine every detail until you're completely satisfied.
Throughout this phase, we'll continue collaborating to ensure the design is functional, beautiful, and ready for construction.

We continue making revisions until both you and our design team are confident in every aspect of the project.

6. Permit Application
If permits are required for your project, BerGel Construction will coordinate directly with your local jurisdiction and submit all necessary applications.
This may include:

7. Material Procurement
Once your selections are finalized, we'll place all approved material orders through our trusted vendors and carefully monitor each shipment from start to finish.
Your dedicated project manager will coordinate deliveries to keep everything on schedule and ensure materials arrive when needed.

8. Construction
Once materials are available, our skilled craftsmen will begin construction while keeping you informed every step of the way.
Throughout your project, we prioritize communication, cleanliness, and quality workmanship.
During construction we will:

Protect your home with drop cloths, plastic, and dust barriers

Provide weekly progress updates

Coordinate inspections

Maintain a clean and secure job site

Remove construction debris

Schedule experienced craftsmen for each phase of the project

Construction timelines vary from approximately 2 weeks to 12+ months, depending on the size and complexity of your remodel.
9. Project Completion
Once materials are available, our skilled craftsmen will begin construction while keeping you informed every step of the way.
Throughout your project, we prioritize communication, cleanliness, and quality workmanship.
The finishing touches matter.
As your project nears completion, we'll perform a final walkthrough with you and create a punch list of any remaining items that need attention.
Our team will promptly complete those items to ensure everything meets both your expectations and our quality standards.
When you choose BerGel Construction's complete Design, Material Procurement, and Construction services, your project is backed by our 5-Year Craftsmanship Warranty.
Our commitment doesn't end when construction is complete—we're here to support you long after you've started enjoying your newly remodeled space.
Our Quality Guarantee
BerGel Construction is so confident in the products and services we provide that we guarantees all labor in our contract work with homeowners for a term of ten (10) years to be free of flaws in the craft.
The warranty period begins on the day the job is completed. The warranty will not be extended beyond ten years.
The guarantee is solely restricted to contract work performed expressly for the owner by BerGel Construction or its subcontractors. Furthermore, this warranty does not apply to any appliances or fixtures installed for the owner by BerGel Construction.
However, the Company may assign and transfer any applicable manufacturer’s warranties to the owner upon request.
To pursue the warranty’s rights, the owner must tell the Company in writing, preferably by email, detailing the exact item or products considered to be covered by the guarantee.
Within three business days after receiving such warranty requests, the Company will react. Any emergency requests will be dealt with as soon as possible. On the occasion that BerGel Construction determines, in its reasonable judgment, that this warranty covers the item or items in need of attention. In that case, it will promptly repair or replace defective materials or workmanship at its sole cost and expense unless it determines that such repairs were necessitated by the owners or any party or parties associated with the owner’s negligence or intentional misconduct.
This guarantee is void and does not apply to any materials installed by BerGel Construction but was afterward repaired, altered, or modified by someone or something other than the BerGel Construction or its authorized representatives.
Due to the BerGel Construction’s lack of quality control, the warranty on all products purchased by the homeowner, such as vanities, fixtures, and tiling, is void.
BerGel Construction’s salespeople, nor any other person authorized to make guarantees other than those specified above, are entitled to prolong the length of any warranties beyond the period described above.
